On Oct. 15, 1993, plaintiffs Greg Wells, a 47-year-old catering bartender/salesman, and Mary Wells, a 47-year-old saleswoman, were injured when their vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by defendant Douglas Doane. The plaintiffs brought this action against the defendant based on a negligence theory of recovery. The defendant admitted liability.
