Facts

On Feb. 2, 1995, the plaintiff, a 46-year-old receptionist, was walking across an office building outdoor patio when she allegedly slipped and fell on water that had leaked from decorative planters. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants, the owner of the building, the janitorial service, the security company, and the landscape company, based on a negligence theory of recovery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a C.C.P. º998 settlement demand for $300,000. The defendants made a C.C.P. º998 offer of compromise for $10,000.
