Facts
On Feb. 18, 1995, plaintiff John Maddex, a 57-year-old textile salesman, was descending the stairs from his apartment, when he fell. On or around December 16, 1994, the apartment building went into receivership. Defendant Kenneth Becker was the court-appointed receiver. Defendant Kenneth Management Group was hired by the receiver to repair the building. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants based on a negligence theory of recovery.
