Facts
On Nov. 17, 1994, the plaintiff, a 33-year-old ironworker, was struck in the neck and shoulder area by a 1000-pound wrecking ball while working on a job at a building at a university campus. The plaintiffs brought this action against the defendants based on a negligence theory of recovery.
Settlement Discussions
The plaintiffs made a C.C.P. º998 settlement demand for $1 million. The defendants made an offer of $200,000, then $450,000, $750,000 and finally $1 million.
