Facts

On March 31, 1996, the plaintiff, an 81-year-old grandmother and salesclerk, attended a softball game sponsored by defendant little league on land controlled by defendant youth foundation. The plaintiff fell off a step on the side of the bleacher area. The bleacher area was designed by the defendant architect. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants based on a negligence theory of recovery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a C.C.P. º998 settlement demand for $__________. The defendants made a C.C.P. º998 offer of compromise for $__________.

Injuries

The plaintiff suffered a fractured right hip and underwent total hip replacement.

Other Information

The settlement was reached approximately seven months after the case was filed. MEDIATION: A mediation was held before retired Judge Irwin J. Nebron of ARC resulting in the reported settlement.
