On Dec. 8, 1994, plaintiff Mark Ryan entered the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank to serve two subpoenas on actor Clint Eastwood. After serving the subpoenas, the plaintiff was stopped and utimately handcuffed by Warner Bros security guards on suspicion of trespassing. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendants based on assault, battery and false imprinsonment theories of recovery. The defendants filed a cross-complaint for trespass.
