defendant A. Defendant B was driving a vehicle, owned by defendants C and D, which struck defendant AÆs
vehicle.
The plaintiff brought this action against all defendants based on negligence.

The plaintiff settled with defendant A for $100,000 (policy limits). Defendants B, C and D accepted plaintiffÆs C.C.P. Section 998 demand of $100,000 (policy limits).
