Plaintiff is a portrait artist. Defendant Jaleh Enayati lived two houses down in a fourplex owned by her son,
defendant Hamid Enayati. Jaleh Enayati cared for a 3+ pound toy Maltese dog. In February 1998, the dog bit
plaintiff in the finger.
Defendants denied ownership of the dog, asserting that the dog belonged to HamidÆs sister, who was not
named as a defendant. Defendants denied that plaintiff was bit or injured in any way.
Defendant Hamid Enayati denied that the fence around his property was broken.
