After the Jan. 17, 1994, Northridge earthquake, plaintiff was assigned by Pilot & Associates to adjust commercial claims for Farmers/Truck Insurance. Farmers supervisors at one point in time called plaintiff one of the best pure estimators they had ever seen. On Aug. 8, 1997, plaintiff was told to turn in his files to Farmers.
