On Dec. 7, 1999, at approximately 10 p.m., the plaintiff visited a friend who lived on Van Wig Ave. in an
unincorporated area of La Puente. The women had returned home from shopping and the plaintiff went back
outside to get something out of her car. Prior to getting to the car, she tripped over a raised portion of sidewalk
and then fell into the car, fracturing her wrist.
