The plaintiff, a 71-year-old woman, was a passenger in a vehicle which was being driven by the defendant A. The
plaintiff and defendant A were on their way to church. Defendant A had just driven her vehicle through the
intersection of Western and Vernon when defendant B pulled out from a driveway into the path of defendant
AÆs vehicle. Impact ensued.

The plaintiff demanded $100,000 (policy limit) from defendant B which was paid. Defendant A paid $1,000.

Injuries
The plaintiff suffered torn rotator cuff to right shoulder. The plaintiff underwent an unsuccessful arthroscopic surgery and was later subjected to open surgery in order to repair the tear. The plaintiff also claimed soft tissue type injuries, an injury to her right wrist and head which caused spots to appear in her eyes, hearing difficulties and sinus difficulties.
