On Dec. 19, 2001, at approximately 8:40 a.m., at the intersection of Artesia and Orizaba in the City of Long Beach, the plaintiff, Donneisha Williams, was driving a 1998 Honda Civic and the plaintiff Steven Wright was a front seat passenger in her vehicle. The defendant, Nen Sajjadham was driving a 1991 Mazda MPV van. The defendant was traveling westbound on Artesia Boulevard and the plaintiff was traveling northbound on Orizaba and made a left turn in front of the defendant's vehicle. The accident occurred within the intersection with both parties claiming they had the right of way.
