Facts

On Aug. 21, 2002, the plaintiff, age 56, was on her way to work at Boeing in the city of Long Beach. She parked her car in the employee parking lot located on Cherry Street. She was jogging across the street, in a crosswalk, after she observed cars which had stopped for pedestrians. As she crossed in front of the defendant's vehicle, she alleged that he moved forward and struck her.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff demanded $92,000; the defense made a C.C.P. Section 998 offer of $25,000.
