Plaintiff Stuft Pizza Franchise Corporation entered into a four separate franchise agreements with four corporations owned and managed by defendants Rajbir and Ranbir Rai to open and operate pizza restaurants. The Rai brothers stopped paying royalties and attempted to open new, unauthorized locations without the plaintiff's consent or knowledge.

Result

The jury found in favor of the plaintiff on all of its breach of contract claims and awarded the plaintiff $116,000 in damages. Judge Munoz tripled the jury's award under the trademark infringement and unfair competition statutes.
