The plaintiff is Bao Zhen Xi. The defendant is Song Hua Xi, the plaintiff's son. In 1984, the defendant and the plaintiff bought a motel together. The plaintiff put down part of the down payment. The motel and real estate was bought only under the defendant's name. The plaintiff and the defendant worked together in the motel. The defendant then denied that the plaintiff had an interest in the motel or the real estate. To affirm her interests, the plaintiff filed action for declaratory relief. The plaintiff also contended that the defendant was holding the sales proceeds of the motel in trust for the plaintiff.
