Plaintiffs Pamela Melendez, 49, and Andrea Sabanovich, 20, were stopped in traffic when their Honda was struck by a Jeep driven by 19-year-old Jason Maxwell. The vehicle's owner was Maxwell's grandmother, Judy Jordan. Melendez, an SBC operator, and Sabanovich, a student, sued Maxwell. Maxwell admitted liability, but disputed the nature and extent of the damages.

Settlement Discussions

An arbitration occurred before Glenn Lawson, Esq. The arbitration resulted in a $16,225 award for Melendez and a $11,765 award for Sabanovich. Maxwell requested a trial de novo and offered $8,225 to Melendez and $5,765 to Sabanovich.
