On December 29, 1992, Plaintiff, a 24-year-old general office clerk, was northbound in her 1991 Ford Escort and driving approximately 30 mph. Defendant was southbound, in the course and scope of his employment, and driving a 1984 Escort van. Defendant made a left turn in front of Plaintiff, resulting in a broadside collision between the two vehicles.
