Facts

In 1989, defendants undertook certain works of improvements upon a 132-unit condominium complex. Thereafter, plaintiff claimed that various construction defects and deficiencies throughout the condominium complex and its common areas caused property damages. The plaintiff brought an action against the defendants based on violations or breach of local building and construction practices, industry standards, governmental codes and restrictions, manufacturer requirements, product specifications, Chapter 16 of the City of Las Vegas Municipal Code, NRS 278.583 and Chapter 523 of the Nevada Administrative Code.

Damages

The plaintiff sought to recover repair costs, stigma damages, loss of use, relocation costs, attorney fees and entitlements pursuant to NRS 40.600.

Other Information

The defendants filed a third party claim contractors for indemnification and contribution. Those subcontractors who appeared contributed substantially to the settlement.
