Facts

The plaintiff was an industrial real estate broker. The defendants were sellers of industrial property who retained the plaintiff's services and promised to pay $100,000 as commission to procure a ready, willing and able buyer. The plaintiff satisfied his obligations. The defendants refused to pay and refused to sell the property. By a separate lawsuit for specific performance, the defendants sold the property to the buyers. The defendants still refused to pay commission. The plaintiff sued.

Settlement Discussions

The parties settled the case at $80,000.
