The plaintiff, Chad Anderson, a self-employed computer graphic artist in his twenties, came upon stopped traffic on the 101 Freeway in Calabasas. After he came to a stop, he was rear-ended by the defendant. The impact pushed Anderson into an adjacent lane where he was sideswiped by another vehicle. All the vehicles involved were Hondas. The defendant admitted liability but disputed the extent of the plaintiff's alleged injuries.
