The plaintiff, aged 40, was operating a motorcycle southbound on Sepulveda in the No. 4, far right lane. The defendant was operating a taxi cab southbound on Sepulveda in the No. 3 lane to the left of the plaintiff's motorcycle. As both vehicles crossed Mariposa Boulevard, they made contact and a sideswipe type collision resulted which caused the plaintiff's motorcycle to fall and the plaintiff to suffer injuries.

Verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the amount of $24,500 who was found to be 4.5 percent negligent, for a net verdict of $23,398.
