Facts

The plaintiff, a 45-year-old motorcyclist was riding his motorcycle southbound on Highway 101 in Mendocino. Another motorcyclist riding northbound crossed over the center dividing section of the two-lane highway and crashed into the plaintiff. The defendant cyclist died at the crash site. The plaintiff sustained an intra-articular derangement of the left wrist and underwent arthroscopic surgery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff demanded $100,000 uninsured motorist policy limits. The defendant offered $75,000.
