PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Warner Bros alleged that the defendants infringed on it's copyrights by selling counterfeit DVDs. The defendants sold these products through Amazon.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
Defendants denied that they sold counterfeit DVDs, and claimed they did not infringe on any copyrights. They also asserted various affirmative defenses, such as lack of personal jurisdiction and improper venue.
Result
The parties entered into a consent decree, where the defendants agreed to be permanently enjoined from engaging in any counterfeiting activities.
