On May 21, 1994, plaintiff Sharai Benett, a 21-year-old stocker at the Price Club, was driving her vehicle when it was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by defendant Jeffrey Egnen. The plaintiff claimed the impact was strong and resulted in the defendant sustaining serious injuries. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence theories of recovery.
