Facts

Aubreia Williams, an employee of Orchard Park, an assisted living facility in Fresno, fell down a flight of stairs at the facility on Aug. 29, 2002. Alaska National Insurance Co. paid about $17,200 in workers' compensation benefits to Williams as a result of the injuries she sustained in the fall. Carpet Tech had cleaned the carpets at the facility.

Damages

Alaska National sought reimbursement of about $17,000 of workers' compensation benefits it paid to Williams.

Result

Prior to trial, the plaintiff agreed to dismiss its case for waiver of costs.
