Injuries
The plaintiff sustained lacerations to her head, rash to her face, pain in her abdomen and chest area and was unable to move her lower extremities. She was examined by LAC/USC Medical Center and transferred to Rancho Los Amigos where she underwent physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for one month. She was discharged on Aug. 6, 2005. On Sep. 2, 2003, she presented herself to the ER at Good Samaritan Hospital with complaints of right hip pain. X-rays revealed a right intertrochanteric fracture. The plaintiff underwent open reduction internal fixation of her right hip. On Oct. 8, 2003, she was released with a walker.
