Facts

Justine Perry gave birth to Christopher Perry, Jr. on Sept. 16, 2004, at the Naval Hospital-Camp Pendleton. Christopher was born severely disabled. As a result, Perry sued the United States of America for medical negligence.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Perry alleged that the medical staff conducted itself in a negligent, careless, and unskilled manner in managing the birth of her son.

Injuries

Christopher suffered from spastic quadriparetic cerebral palsy, blindness, and perinatal asphyxia, which caused sever global development delays.

Result

The parties settled for $4 million.
