Facts
On June 27, 2006, Kenny Becerra worked on a sewer-relining project for his employer, Rapid Plumbing Inc., and discovered several problems with the project. He reported the allegedly unsafe work conditions to Rapid Plumbing and refused to work. Becerra's supervisor instructed Becerra to leave the site. Thereafter, an altercation ensued between Becerra and his supervisor. As a result, Rapid Plumbing suspended and then terminated Becerra's employment. Becerra sued Rapid Plumbing for retaliation.

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
The plaintiff contended that he was wrongfully terminated for reporting the unsafe conditions and for refusing to work in a dangerous environment.
DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defense claimed that the site was safe and that Rapid Plumbing fired Becerra due to the altercation.
Settlement Discussions
Becerra demanded $125,000 and the defense offered $25,000.
Damages
The plaintiff requested $336,000.
