On August 15, 1992, Plaintiff Marie D'Esposito Eakin tripped and fell when she stepped off a curb in the parking lot of Corona Del Mar State Beach. The City of Newport Beach, the State of California, and Nobest, Inc., the contractor that put down the asphalt parking lot, were named as Defendants.
