Facts
The plaintiff, Eva Bijan, was being treated by defendant, Ian Aires, D.D.S., for placement of implants and a fixed bridge. The plaintiff repeatedly complained that her bite was off and needed adjustment. She also claimed that four of her six implants failed. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant breached the standard of care in creating a prosthesis that was doomed to fail from the beginning and that caused the failure of four implants. The defendant denied all of the plaintiff's allegations and contended that his treatment was at all times within the standard of care in the community.
Injuries
Plaintiff sustained four failed dental implants.
Other Information
The plaintiff's motions for new trial and judgment notwithstanding the verdict, in which she claimed juror misconduct and insufficient evidence, were denied.
