Plaintiff Stephen Nuner suffered a severely comminuted fracture of his left distal tibia/fibula. Defendant Paul Gregory, an orthopedic surgeon, treated the plaintiff by using closed reduction and casting. The plaintiff's leg remained unstable after the casting and his tibia/fibula became angulated.
