On April 17, 1991, Plaintiff Felbert Williams, a 40-year-old security guard and his nephew Leonard Brown, a 27-year-old fry cook, were fishing from a railroad bridge. Defendant's train struck and killed Brown, and Plaintiff Felbert Williams jumped off the bridge and was injured.
