On February 14, 1991, Plaintiff, a 27-year-old truck driver, was a passenger in a tractor/trailer rig driven by Defendant's employee. (From time to time, these two drivers worked for the same company, but Plaintiff alleged that they were not working for the same company at the time.) The rig went off a windy, 2-lane road, rolled over twice, and struck an oak tree.
Settlement Discussions
Plaintiff contends they demanded $635,000 and Defendants offered $450,000 new money, at the settlement conference 2 weeks before the trial date.
