Facts

On Dec. 29, 1996, plaintiff Kathleen Paxton, a 58- year-old parking lot attendant employed by Ontario Airport, was in a parking booth at work taking down a license plate number of a car stopped at the toll booth. She claimed that as she did so, an automobile owned by defendant Sylvia Geyoghlian and driven by defendant Dean Mendelsohn struck her from behind and ran over her foot. The defendant driver denied striking the plaintiff, and claimed that plaintiff stepped into the roadway in front of him. The plaintiff parking attendant brought this action against defendants Mendelsohn and Geyogholian based on negligence theories of recovery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a settlement demand for $15,000. The defendants made a settlement offer of $15,000 (policy limits).

Injuries
