On March 1, 1997, plaintiff Derry Levy, a 61-year-old retired school teacher, presented at defendant Desert Hospital with fractured hip. Following surgery and reconstruction, the plaintiff was transferred to defendant skilled nursing facility on March 30. The nursing facility discovered that plaintiff had developed decubitus ulcer on her paraparesis buttocks and decubitious blisters on her heals. The plaintiff was treated and subsequently discharged to her home on April 2. The plaintiff had pre-existing paraparesis history. On April 25, the plaintiff presented at Eisenhower emergency room with sepsis as a sequel of presacral and heel debuciti. The plaintiff was discharged on May 2. The plaintiffs, husband and wife, brought this action against the defendant based on medical malpractice, negligence, negligent supervision and vicarious supervision.
Settlement Discussions
The plaintiff wife made a C.C.P. Section demand of $150,000. The plaintiff husband made a demand of $35,000. Defendant Desert Hospital Corporation made an offer of $15,000.
Damages
The plaintiff husband claimed loss of consortium.

Co-defendant Scott Aaronson, M.D., was dismissed prior to trial and Kenneth Sebby, M.D. was defaulted.
