On Jan. 26, 1996, plaintiff, Miho Tomuru, a 20-year-old student, was traveling on Highway 92 in El Camino. Her vehicle was rear-ended by a sport-utility vehicle operated by defendant Helen Rogerville. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on a negligence theory of recovery.
