Air2Water LLC and Aqua Sciences Inc. developed competing technologies to generate potable water out of the ambient humidity in the air.

Contentions

PLAINTIFF'S CONTENTIONS:
Air2Water filed suit against Aqua Sciences and others alleging trade secret misappropriation, fraud, and related business torts.

DEFENDANTS' CONTENTIONS:
Defendants maintained that there had been no trade secret misappropriation or any other actionable conduct, and that all of the claims had been released.

Damages

Air2Water sought millions of dollars in monetary damages as well as injunctive relief.

Result

The court granted summary judgment and adjudication for the defense and entered a judgment in favor of Harris Toibb and his related entities. Thereafter, the parties settled for a confidential sum.
