On Feb. 4, 1997, plaintiff David Chavez, a 44-year-old prison guard, was driving northbound on Highway 111when defendant Alex Dominguez turned North onto Highway 111 in front of the plaintiff, resulting in a collision. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence. The defendant admitted liability.
