On Oct. 3, 1996, plaintiff Sherman Green, a 58-year-old bus driver, purchased take-out food from defendant El Taco Nazo. He claimed that as he exited the doorway of the restaurant, he slipped and fell on water and grease which had been placed there by an employee while rinsing buckets of grease. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on premises liability and negligence theories of recovery.
