On Dec. 3, 1995, plaintiff Lee Sablick, a 26-year-old signmaker, was allegedly chased from defendant's nightclub by its bouncers and beaten in the street. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on negligence, assault and battery; and negligent hiring, training, supervision and retention theories of recovery.
