On May 16, 1991, Plaintiff Isidore Kulkin, a 72-year-old retiree, was crossing Pico Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by Defendant Christopher Oide's automobile making a left turn out of a parking lot at the Westside Pavilion Shopping Center. Defendant admitted liability on the day the trial commenced.
