On February 7, 1992, a laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed on the Plaintiff, a 31-year-old homemaker. The surgery was performed by Defendant surgeon and at the Defendant hospital. The Defendant surgeon inadvertently ligated and removed portions of the common bile duct, believing it was the cystic duct. Surgical repair was performed at another hospital, not a party to this suit.

Settlement Discussions

Plaintiff contends she demanded $250,000 and Defendants offered $150,000.
