Facts
While rollerblading on a public sidewalk, the plaintiff, a 41-year-old female, passed in front of the defendantÆs
single-family home. The defendantÆs two German shepherd dogs ran from the yard of the house and jumped on
the plaintiff, biting her several time on the upper right buttock, right upper thigh, left arm and left calf. Liability
was admitted by stipulation. The plaintiff focused on the mental and emotional effects of the incident and its
aftermath.
The defendant admitted liability but contended that no future medical treatment was
needed as the bites had healed.
