Facts

Robert Adams, Stephen Jones, John Clay, Rose Baylor, Kenneth Russell and Zetta Yarborough brought this action pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) against Pinole Point Steel Co., Marwais Steel Co. and Colorstrip Division, claiming racial discrimination.

Result

The trial court conducted a bench trial on the hostile work environment claims after all other claims having been resolved separately. Ultimately, the court concluded that the claims were not suitable for class adjudication and subsequently entered judgment in favor of defendants.
