Facts

On July 28, 2005, plaintiff Steve Mlynarczyk, a 26-year-old investment banker, was driving a 2004 Nissan 350Z
westbound on Santa Monica Boulevard in the number three lane in the City of Los Angeles. The plaintiff
stopped behind several vehicles at a red light at Veteran Boulevard when the defendant who was driving an
Acura SUV rear-ended the plaintiff. The impact of the collision pushed the plaintiffÆs vehicle into the vehicle
directly in front of the plaintiff.

Contentions

The plaintiff contended that the defendant was negligent in the operation of a motor vehicle and that all of the
plaintiffÆs claimed injuries were a direct result of the trauma the patient sustained in the accident.

DEFENDANT'S CONTENTIONS:
The defendant contended that the accident was a low or minor impact collision and disputed the nature and extent of the plaintiff's injuries.

Injuries

Neck, back, contusion to the left knee, and left ankle. Medical bills of approximately $25,000.

Result

$75,000.
