On November 27, 1992, the plaintiff, a 32-year-old truck driver, and the defendant were traveling westbound on the 60 freeway at approximately 50 mph. The defendant, attempting to change lanes, swerved into the plaintiff's lane and struck the plaintiff's vehicle twice. The impact caused the plaintiff's vehicle to spin to 180 degrees. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on a negligence theory of recovery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a C.C.P. º998 $300,000 settlement demand which was reduced to $250,000 at the mandatory settlement conference.
