The plaintiff, a 21-year-old U.S. Navy Seaman, was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Sullivan Street in Long Beach. The defendant was driving his vehicle when he attempted to make a left turn onto Sullivan Street, causing plaintiff to lay down his motorcycle. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant driver based on negligence theories of recovery.
