Facts

Plaintiffs worked for FedEx as drivers. Both are Lebanese-Americans. Plaintiffs contended there was a hostile work environment, specifically, with respect to race and national origin. The harassment was carried out by a terminal manager and other supervisors and managers working for the company.

At trial, testimony showed the plaintiffs were called epithets including, inter alia, "Arabs," "sand niggers," "terrorists," etc.

Plaintiffs also contended they complained to operations management, contractor relations and human resources, but no steps were taken to address the complaints such as training or prevention of the harassment.
