Facts

According to the court, plaintiffs Jennifer Gheur and Henry Gheur, a minor, resided at 1918 North Edgemont Street in Los Angeles. For more than two years, they had leased property owned by Sandra Gonzalez. Plaintiff contended that the property was not sufficiently water-proofed, causing water intrusion and mold growth that made plaintiffs ill.

Injuries

According to the court, Henry Gheur claimed difficulty breathing, general congestion, and persistent allergies.

Result

A settlement agreement was entered into totaling $38,000. Plaintiff Henry Gheur received $5,000, including attorney fees at $1,250 and expenses equaling $464. In addition, plaintiff Jennifer Gheur received $33,000, which included attorney fees amounting to $11,000.
