A class action was filed against Apple Inc. related to the purchase of Apple Inc. common stock between Aug. 24, 2001 and June 29, 2006.
Result
$16.5 million plus interest has been offered as settlement of the securities litigation. $14 million was to be placed into a cash settlement fund to implement certain corporate governance, and $2.5 million was to be donated to 12 governance programs at universities throughout the country. A fairness hearing will be held on Feb. 18, 2011.
